PRODUCTIVITY: 3 Ways To Stay Productive When You’d Rather Be Outside ☀️

Take a page from Lorde’s new single, "Solar Power"—the world needs a collective day at the beach after this past year. Here's how you can sneak moments of productivity into your summer plans (friend participation highly encouraged).

FILM A BACKYARD SESSION

Bring the outdoors into your artist content by filming a backyard session! Use the opportunity to perform an acoustic cover of your newest song, or showcase yourself playing an instrument you don’t often play. These make great submissions for NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest, by the way!

An example from Miley Cyrus’ Backyard Sessions series:

HAVE A PICNIC BRAINSTORM SESSION

Grab a blanket, some lunch and a notebook and spend the afternoon brainstorming your next major project! Try to leave the session with a clearly-defined list of action items you can tackle when the time comes.

PHOTOSHOOT, JUST BECAUSE

It’s tough to stay indoors when the weather is gorgeous, so grab a photographer friend (or your iPhone) and make it a content capture afternoon! Try different locations and outfits, choose your favorite selects, and bam—you’ve got yourself at least a month’s worth of bonus content.
